"I consider myself a painter first but have always had a special
affection for print making. It all started in my mid teens with a
piece of linoleum. As I progressed in my career I found the
aforementioned media complimented my painting beautifully. I also
observed that those painter-printmakers I respected most were
painters such as Lautrec, Picasso, Munch and Gauguin who brought a
great deal of innovation and experimentation to the process.
It has been my privilege to have studied with two of the great
printmakers of the 20th century, Maurico Lasansky and Stanley
William Hayter. "
